The Moth

Silver thread pulls through moon spun silk
shaping glittering, gossamer wings.
Feathery antennae glimmer in the light
above a fluffy white cowl,
fore legs dancing in anticipation.
Scissors snip the thread tails
and the freed moth flies towards the moon.
