What if there was only one crop that could grow in the worst possible soil conditions and it became the basis of all that we consume? What if it was blueberries?

  1. I pray that day never comes. Good questions. Just sayin tho, IF it was blueberries, I’d be all set as I live smackdab in the middle of blueberry country πŸ™‚

  2. I wouldn’t mind eating blueberries, but there is a grain of truth to this line of thought! I am sure a lot of products are endorsed as healthy because of the companies producing them or the countries. Like there are a lot of fruits and vegetables and grains which we as Indians have recently adopted into our diet which are no where produced in our country!

    • In this case the diet’s endorsed because scientists fear that all foods will have to be blueberry based if they can’t breed other crops to withstand the increasingly acidic soil, but I can see where you’re coming from. There was a study done years ago that showed that avocados can improve cholesterol numbers. Who help funded it? A top avocado grower. Granted, there may be some truth in it but health benefits make for great publicity.

    • I take it you’re not a fan of the blueberries? Haha! I imagine this one made you squirm.
