Sunlight
pouring in through
the south-facing windows
to warm the whiskers of basking
felines.

The Cinquain is another syllable-count ruled poem — 5 lines with syllable counts 2, 4 6, 8, and 2. It can be expanded upon with multiple stanzas, reversed, mirrored, etc.
