Snowfall (A Septolet)

from a window
as snowflakes

Crumpled metal,
broken glass.
Life snuffed out.

A Septolet — 7 lines, 14 words, no syllable count — illustrates a scene in two parts.

We experienced our first snowfall since April. It flurried for a few hours with some sticking before it turned to rain and melted. The first snow is the most dangerous. People forget what it’s like to drive on snow covered roads.
